The East Bay Community Law Center provides free legal services to eligible East Bay clients. Specific service criteria vary by subject matter and change over time, so please contact the office with any specific questions.

Income Guidelines

In general, EBCLC serves individuals living at or below 125% of the federal poverty guidelines. The guidelines change every year, but the following monthly incomes are rough estimates for a household of:

  1. $1,125
  2. $1,515
  3. $1,900
  4. $2,295

Cities Served

Primarily northern Alameda County, in the cities of:

  • Berkeley
  • Oakland
  • Emeryville

For some types of cases we serve all of Alameda and Contra Costa counties.
